I've created a xanga site. The URL is up to you to search for. Don't ask, my lips are sealed. This blog I'll try to keep up, but I won't write quite so frequently... Blogger just isn't as good as Xanga.

When my dad came to pick me up today, he had to run some errands... so, my brothers and I spent 45 minutes in the blistering heat. I got home and I realized I had been "sleeping" nearly the whole time. As I tried to wake up, I felt odd... I'm still wondering if I really slept. I'm suspecting that I fainted in the heat. Yesterday the heat made me sick to my stummach and I was only in the heat for about 15 minutes. I'm still pretty psyched out about it. My parents are telling me I'm really tired, but no I'm not. I've been going to bed earlier and yet I seem to be more tired...???

I've been thinking for a while of ending blog and starting new one... perhaps I will let this blog go until it has been going a complete year. Maybe I will never end it, and just start another one. I am a freak. I have 4 emails, 3 instant messengers, 10 screen names, 187 sn's on my lists (AIM), 16 sn's on my list (MSN), and 3 blogs (soon to be four or five...)
In Speech we took a test over what we have covered this school year (I'm hoping I did well), and spent the last two hours or so researching a topic for our informitive speeches, due Tuesday. Since I have been researching Theodore Roosevelt lately, I have decided to do the Presidency of TR. I managed to find some film clips and voice clips on TR. I also managed to set off the library alarm because I had a book I had checked out at the Austin Library (which is due in about four days).
In Drivers Ed we watched a movie. I ended up sitting out in the hall all that while working on worksheets because I couldn't watch it. It was rated PG13. My parents won't let me watch PG13 movies, and yes, I am 15. This is one of their limitations that they will never change, period. I still have to get my TEA form, and then I'll be set to get my drivers permit. The idea of driving scares me... but I don't think I have a choice... my parents are depending on me to learn to drive so that they won't have to take me and my brothers everywhere. It scares me...

Spurs won! Wahoo! David Robinson gave his all out there. It was beautiful. Robinson went out with such a bang. Fathers day, His last game, won the Championship!... Could it really be any better? Tim Dunkin did a marvelous job himself. He was one of the few people to score a triple double in the championship. The last one was done about 10 years ago. He was 2 blocks away from being the only man to have ever made a quadruple double in the championship. I hate to see Robinson go, but his knee has been bothering him, and he's played the game a long time. Dunkin still has game left, and I doubt will be leaving any time soon. Robinson and Dunkin both had wonderful attitudes and words after the game. Dunkin recieved the MVP for the second year in a row. The head coach was named coach of the year. This was the year for the Spurs. I just want to say good-bye Admiral, and thank you for what you have done for us. The twin towers, Robinson and Dunkin may not be together on the team, but they will surely never separate in the hearts of many pround Texans and Spurs fans.

I am so happy I get to take drivers ed! After three weeks, I get to hit the road! I've already got an eye on my mom's new '84 Lincoln Town Car. It's just shy of being considered a classic. It's gonna be mine in a few years. My parents call it Kitty, but when I get it, I'm nicknaming it Teddy. It's huge! It could fit 5 passengers, and a driver! It's going to be all mine!!! Man. I can't wait!

Yesterday I went to post a comment on my political blog that I had worked on for two hours, and I got an error message that said my comment was over 3,000 words long! It deleted the entire comment instead of letting me fix it! I felt as though I wanted to bash my brains in. I must have sat staring at my computer screen in awe for the next half an hour. I have not felt so bad in so long.
Tonight was the last night that I got to take care of the cats that belong to my mom's friend. I'm going to miss seeing them for a while. I think the thunderstorms were bothering them a bit. They had hardly touched their water when my mom and I got there, and there were still pieces of cat food in their bowl. One cat kept hiding behind a chair (I think she was napping), another wouldn't let me stop stroking him, and the third one, who is always too cool to be stroked, let me keep petting him, even pretty much right when we walked in the door. That's something he lets hardly anyone do. I miss them already.

I got my bean bag chair today! It is huge! It's this big emerald green cloth one that both my brothers and I can sit on. It must take up about 1/6-1/8 of my room. In fact, my parents kind of turned my room into a lounge after dinner. I had to shoo everyone out so that I could get it back to myself. My TR book seems to be calling to me to be read.
I registered for summer school down at MAC. I will only be taking speech this summer, unlike I had originally planed. I had in mind to take Health for the second session, but there's a fine arts program that I want to be in that coinsides with the second session. As we were registering, my dad saw a paper for drivers ed registration. It would be after summer school classes at MAC. My dad is seriously considering having me take it. (Of course, I don't think I would mind too much...)
Our old car died. It wouldn't go over 30/40 mph. Our new car is a white and gray 1984 Lincoln Town Car. My parents are telling me that I might get it in a year or two. My parents have a thing with naming all our cars... this one is going to be named kitty. I like the name Teddy better. I think it's too big to be thought of as a kitty. As soon as it's mine, it's Teddy!
I was talking to my dad about the TR book I am reading and I was starting to tell him about the time TR had a bloode vessel burst in his left knee. It seemed the right thing to be telling my dad. My dad has been dealing with a blood clot in his right leg. TR was very frustrated at the lack of his mobility, as has been my dad. I think it made him feel better to be hearing it, or at least I hope anways.
My mom has a friend named Melissa that she goes to UT with (for her principalship program). Melissa's sister's wedding is this weekend. While Melissa is gone, I get to babysit her three cats. There's Claud, Buster, and Wheezy (it's a long story, trust me). All three cats were found abandoned and Melissa and her husband took them in. So, for the next couple of days, I get to babysit the kitties. I hope Melissa starts feeling better. She just entered her third trimester. It's going to be a boy. I got to see the baby's room. It's adorable!
I finally reached Naomi for a few seconds today. I feel a lot better after the few words exchanged. She says she's been busy (oh wow, that's new), and that it was right for me to keep trying to reach her. I've been trying to get ahold of her for a year now (it was last summer, about this time...). So, hopefully she'll call me back tonight like she promised. Crossing my fingers!

I like the idea of long posts. The only people who seem to comment on them are the people who really care about what I say. They tollerate what I say for 10k's of text and then know what to say. I find I like long posts in comparison to short posts because long posts tell stories, while short posts give a summary of something and people choose not to care. They find the small things and criticize. Long posts seem to draw a person more so into the writer's life. Long posts are bully.

Man. It's been too long since I've found time to read. I used to read constantly. You couldn't get me to stop. My parents would have to tell me to STOP READING (and to think they're both TEACHERS!!!). Then school ended up getting ever so much harder and homework got in the way of reading. In 7th and 8th grade, we never read books. We were to focused on upping our TAAS scores. Last summer I took summer school trying to get ahead... and might I add that world geography during the summer involves many hours of work a day? I lost time to read. This school year, I barely made it through english. I wasn't always able to read everything, although I tried to read most of it. I finally had a friend convince me to read a 555 page biography on Theodore Roosevelt, and I have not enjoyed myself so much in such a long time.
I guess I've never really been very close to my middle brother because he always seems to get so much attention. My parents always give me the excuse that he's the middle child and he needs the attention. I'm the oldest, so I had them to myself for 3 years (which I don't remember a bit of) and being the oldest I apparently get some kind of extra attention (then lately I've become a hermit in my room... how's that work?). My second brother is the littlest in the family, so being the baby, he gets all this extra attention... now I can kind of see that. So, my brother Robert has been getting all this extra attention.
When he was in K/1st grade, they discovered that he was ADD (not to be confused with ADHD... completely different things). He had been struggling with school up til then, and has been sruggling with school until about last year. I had always been the "brilliant one", recieving the top TAAS scores for the 6th grade at Webb Middle School. This year, my brother has become this genius, can't do nothing... person... and I've become a freak who can't keep her grades up. I kind of hurled myself into two states of depression this past school year from that. I felt tremendously stupid, that Robert was now what I wanted to be. I forced myself to become a hermit, always hidden in my room. My parents were constantly at my throat to keep up my grades, and I was trying to keep sane, while being pulled in about 15 directions at once. So much has happened this school year. I just started to break down.
I feel as though I am finally regaining control over my life. This year I feel that I got to start over, or at least pick up where I left off 4 years ago. I've become a much better person. I am starting to feel my life is back to being content, like it has not been in about 6 or so years. I'm sure if you've read this far, you're wondering why the heck I wrote this, and are probably bored out of your wits. Yes, I was bored when I wrote this, but hey, I meant all that I said.

I was informed at about 2:30 this morning that my political views are actually quite known at MAC. I expected people to disagree with my political views, but I didn't realize to what corners of McCallum my views are known. Perhaps I had better get a group started over at McCallum like the Capital City Capitalists Corperation over at LBJ... just a thought, but doable... we'll see...

I went to the library today (for once!). I have been begging my parents to take me for a week or so now. I checked out a book called Theodore Rex, which is a biography on Theodore Roosevelt. I'm looking forward to (FINALLY!!!!) reading it. When I get done, there's an autobiography on Reagan that I'm eyeing...

I am currently rearranging my room. I finally figured out why I like to rearrange my room so often. It gives me the feeling of control over my own life. It gives me the feeling of this is what I want, not what my parents want. I'll just go to my room during a holiday break or during the summer and just start moving things around. My parents will come in and see the changes and go "oh... ok...".
I'm still trying to finish up. My room is half messy and half really nice. Everything is piled on my bed or around it. There seems to almost be a straight line that divides my room in half. It's quite funny, actually. I can't wait to see it finished.
There is one corner of my room that keeps calling out to me "get a comfortable chair and a good book. Read here. I've always wanted one of those bean bag chairs and from what I've seen, they're not all that expensive. Maybe I can take the few bucks I got for my birthday and finally buy one. We'll see what happens...

My parents seem to lack the understanding of summer. It's where you sleep in, watch tv, and do all that stuff you ment to do during the school year but never got around to. My parents have a concept of summer which goes something along these lines: you wake up nice and early, eat a good breakfast with the family, you get outside and do all those wonderful outdoor chores while it's still so "nice and cool", then you get to come inside and fix lunch for the boys, everyone practices their instruments, and have a nice rest time. After that, you get to do any indoor chores that need to be done along with something fundamental until mom gets home from her classes down at UT, where she will watch the news for one and a half hours. After she has seen the news, then you can finally watch TV until dinner. After dinner, family time!!! Oh joy. Then... you guessed it... bed time.
I couldn't wait for the school year to be over. I want to be back in school. I can't wait for summer school to begin so that I will be out of the house for about four hours a day. Health and Speech... yeah, get the boring classes out of the way this summer. Please pray that there's something left of me by the end of this summer!!!

My brothers were cleaning the bathroom today and I go in to check on them. I find that my razor has been set on the ground and the little plastic cover that goes over the blade is completely gone. Neither of my brothers will admit they lost the little plastic cover and say that perhaps Happy (our dog) might have gotten it. I look at them dumbfounded and say "Happy can't reach the back of the counter". My brothers give me no more of a response than "oh..." and I walk to my room in disarray. My legs were in desperate need of a shave, which I'm sure the whole world wanted to know.
My mom returns home from her first day of classes (an administration for schools program) and walks in with the mail. In the stack of mail is a small box adressed to me. I open up the box to find a brand new razor inside, compliments of the company. This wasn't just one of those one time use razors, this is one of the ones that you replace the head to as soon as you need to. I just sink onto my bed, razor in hand and think "Can you really get more ironic than that?". So tonight I tried out the razor and it worked really well. I was really impressed. No, I'm not still mad at my brothers.
